Can You Tell? H was Here!

Well, a lot has happened since we found out that H was going to be placed with us. Her first visit ended up being for four days over the Memorial Day Weekend and here is how the house looked at the end of the weekend. H is quite an energetic, talkative, charming, and happy kind of kid. The same can't be said for two future parents that have to answer a 5:30 am wakeup call. She loves playing outside in yard with "her" trees and "her" sandbox which has been here for 25 years already.
It was an exhausting weekend for us, but we think we really made a great connection with her and vice versa since she is calling us Mommy and Daddy already. She is ready and raring to go and is quite cheerful immediately upon waking up, unlike us. If the food is right she eats a ton (like the insides of deviled eggs or Daddy's scrambled eggs) and is pretty good at feeding herself. She loves baths and had one every night.
Despite our exhaustion and being on edge much of the time she is still clearly the child for us and we are ever so thankful to God for bringing her to us. We've gotten to know each other a bit now and she is going to be a great fit with us and we are praying that we are going to be a great fit with her. Now if we can just get her to let our dog into her room without her saying "Puppy get out!!
We plan on having her with us the next few weekends until a placement date can be agreed upon. Luckily she likes her car seat and "her" red car.
Oh, and by the way the monster thunderstorm of Sunday created a microburst that blew this tree onto our house. And we bet you were thinking that H knocked it over.
