We're Singing the 2nd Verse Now

For those of you who don't know, Steve has been composing music and writing songs for about 2 1/2 years now. Back when we started this journey he got an idea for a song about the faces waiting for adoption out on the various web sites we have been exploring. After attending a Christian song writing workshop the song "Out of Love" quickly came together and he had a preliminary demo recording made. After a critique, he spent a month doing a serious rewrite and came up with a final version. The second verse goes like this: "Her picture's now taped upon the door to her room that's now prepared. I hope it shows when she walks in, here is the home she's meant to share. All the moving now will end, since this family is forever." As the picture shows, H's picture is now taped upon the door to her room that has been ready since last summer when had our home inspection done for our official homestudy. Steve has jokingly been calling this room our mystery daughter's room since January, but it was only a mystery to us. Ever since we started we've known that God has known who would someday come to be our forever child, and now we know. H's worker called us this morning to start talking about a first meeting, maybe a week from today if all the schedules can be coordinated. Then we can start thinking about singing the chorus; "Out of love, we will bring you home."
