It's Time (Well, Almost)

It's hard to believe, but we are 8 hours away from getting on our first airplane in Windsor Locks, CT and beginning the final chapter of this journey that began a little over 9 months ago.  Here is the obligatory picture of all of our packed bags (including carryons.)  Usually the night before a big trip it is chaos and crabby people snapping at each other.  However, something was different tonight.  We still had a bunch of stuff and errands to do, but we have been steadily plowing through everything in a slow and calm fashion and everyone has been totally low key and relaxed.  A big difference from last night when Hailie was pretty much going berserk and winding both her parents up right with her.  We will need a lot of calm patience over the next two weeks; God's gift to us tonight was bringing us to that place of calm.  Knowing He is with us and guiding our every step goes a long way to bringing us to that level of serenity we will sorely need.  If He is for us, who can be against us?

Next time we talk it should be from China.  We are ready.  Only 5 more days until we become a family of six.
